Made In NY is the creative practice of Jay Cherry, a multidisciplinary designer, photographer, and creative director based in New York City.
Driven by curiosity and inspired by the culture, history, and everyday character of New York, I create visual work that lives at the intersection of design, photography, branding, and storytelling. Every project begins with an idea and evolves through research, experimentation, and a relentless attention to detail.
I believe great design should communicate before it decorates. Whether developing a visual identity, directing a campaign, creating original artwork, or documenting a story through photography, my focus is always the same: create work that feels thoughtful, authentic, and built to last.
Over the years, I've collaborated on projects for brands, organizations, and artists including Nike, Bloomingdale's, VH1, NYIT, NYC Parks Department, Savage X Fenty, and 50 Cent. Those experiences continue to shape my approach while pushing me to explore new ideas, techniques, and creative mediums.
